ANNOUNCING: THE COMFORT STATION PLAYS! Fresh from our inaugural production of The Shepherds’ Pageant, the good-spirited adaptation of a medieval Nativity play, Open Source Theatre Project is embarking on an ambitious and historical sophomore spring show! THE COMFORT STATION PLAYS will comprise of short plays (ten to fifteen minutes) set in our theatrical home, the Historic Logan Square Comfort Station. These pieces will each have their own cast, helmed by a different director and will explore the Comfort Station’s role in Logan Square throughout the last 100 years. Open Source Theatre Project will work with the playwrights, directors, and audience to develop these plays through readings, workshops, and rehearsals. THE COMFORT STATION PLAYS will premiere as an evening of short plays in April of 2011.

SEEKING: Directors and Playwrights

Directors – Please send a resume and letter of interest to opensourcetheatreproject@gmail.com. Deadline is January 15th. Please highlight any experience in new play development.

Playwrights – Please send a ten page sample; either a short play or a segment of a larger piece and attach a resume and letter of interest to opensourcetheatreproject@gmail.com.. Deadline is January 15th.

Actors – Please check back in February for an audition announcement!
