Announcing our Inaugural Production – THE SHEPHERDS’ PAGEANT

Thrilling news at Open Source Theatre Project headquarters.

Merry Christmas!

Our fall production of Oedipus Rex has been shelved for the moment, moved to spring 2011.  However, it is my pleasure to announce our first real production, for the 2010 holiday season: The Shepherds’ Pageant by Barry Eitel, directed by Eileen Tull.

The show will be set in the intimate and historic Comfort Station at Logan Square.  The run will last three nights, December 10-12. And in keeping with the Open Source mission, admission will be free as a bird.

A modernish interpretation of the Medieval Second Shepherds’ Play, The Shepherds’ Pageant follows the misadventures of three shepherds, a transient, his wife, and an angel on one particularly notable night in Bethlehem.

We are very excited about our first production, and hope you can join us this December. There will probably hot cocoa.

If you have questions, ticket requests, or would like to get involved, please contact us at opensourcetheatreproject@gmail.com.

Sincerely,

Barry Eitel
